The NorthCap University - NCU formerly ITM University is a self-financed, private University. It was earlier known as 'Institute of Technology and Management'. It was established under the Private Universities Act No 25 Of 2009 Government of Haryana to promote excellence in Technical and Management education by Educate India Society, registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860. The University was established to meet the acute deficiency of centers of higher learning in the country and to meet the technology and management challenges of the 21st century. It 's founder members are Mr. Navdeep K. Dewan, Mr. Avdhesh Mishra, Mr. Vijay Daulet Singh, Mr. Vijay K. Makhija, Mr. Shiv Saran Mehra. It has state of the art infrastructure workshops, laboratories, the library in an aesthetically designed and centrally air-conditioned campus which enhances the learning process. ITM University and its degrees are recognized by University Grant Commission (UGC) and its courses have been approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education), Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The University is also approved by BCI (Bar Council of India).
