Bodoland University is a university in Debargaon, Kokrajhar, Assam, India. It was established by the Bodoland University Act 2009 by the Assam Government. Bodoland University is an up-gradation of the Kokrajhar Campus of Gauhati University to a full-fledged State University as per the provision of the Act. The new university would cater to the educational need of the people, not only of the Bodoland area but also the adjoining states and nations like Bhutan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. The only university in the West Assam with the vision to offered top-quality education is the Bodoland University which is situated in Debargaon, Assam. The university is set up with the vision to be the leading universities in the country and to insert such qualities in the Aspirants so that they can meet the global and regional challenges. At present, the Bodoland University has almost 16 academic departments and about 6 schools to study. Along with the 16 departments, 

The Bodoland University was set up under the Bodoland University Act, 2009. Before establishing as the university, it is the Kokrajhar campus of the Guwahati University. The university is situated in the Debargaon which is nearly nine kilometers away from the Kokrajhar town. The university campus is the well – known for its scenic and landscape beauty which provides a peaceful and calm environment for the Aspirants. Holy River Gaurang flows on the western side of the university campus which adds additional beauty to the campus. The university is the best place for higher learning and flexible growth.

The admission in the various courses shall be made as per the admission process prescribed by the Bodoland University. The university hosts an entrance examination for the admission to all the Post Graduate courses. After the completion of the entrance examination, the result will be displayed by the concerned departments. the university also has the 5 study centers. The Bodoland University engaged in provides various Post Graduates and medical courses. Bodoland University provides the M.A., M.Sc., MCA and MBA courses at the Post Graduate level along with the M.Phil and Ph.D. courses at the doctorate level. The University also offers the Diploma in Bamboo Technology and PGDHRE Diploma courses. These courses have a total intake of 766 Aspirants.
